A downloadable game for Windows

(This project is a demo version of a larger game, it has a complete game loop but there are missing features and areas as described below)

Dreadhurst Manor is a first person horror game. In this demo version, you begin in the courtyard of the manor with the simple message of "Escape". There is only one exit but it is locked, the player must find out how to escape the mansion and escape the monsters within. There are options to hide from the enemy in certain areas and ways to escape the view of the enemies. The demo version only has one puzzle and a single enemy type with simple notes giving lore elements. Some simple jump scares are present. There is a small version of the outside areas, including some staff quarters, a garage, a small pond area and a small garden which can all be explored.

The final version of the game will have major changes. An intro cutscene arriving at the complex will be present as well as a path to the manor. The manor itself will have a basement and attic section as well as far more rooms. There will be puzzles within the mansion itself and completing multiple puzzles is required to exit the complex. The outside areas will be greatly expanded. A short path to the manor will be added as well as a path from the garage. The staff area will be expanded and explorable and the pond area will be expanded to a lake with things to discover. The garden area will also be bigger with a hedge maze. The final version will also have a combat system, though this will be simplistic and designed to be a last resort.

The demo is the priority and by the time it is finished, I will be back at university but I will be working on the main game whenever possible!
